Storytime: The second and fourth Thursdays of the month

Storytime

Storytime is a fun, interactive experience for children ages 0–6 and their families! Through stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and hands-on activities, children build early literacy skills, spark their imaginations, and develop a lifelong love of reading.

Each storytime includes a related craft or activity, giving little ones a chance to learn, create, and explore together. From enjoying favorite stories to singing songs and discovering something new, there’s always something fun for little learners!

Every Thursday | 10:30 AM

Sessions last approximately 30–45 minutes, and families are encouraged to join in the fun! Sharing stories, singing along, and participating in activities together helps make storytime a wonderful opportunity for children and caregivers to connect while building early literacy skills.

Be sure to check our calendar for scheduled dates and any special activities planned. We can’t wait to read, sing, and explore with you!

Sing together

Fingerplays, rhymes and songs slow down language so children can hear the different sounds that make up words.

Read together

Shared reading gets children ready to read. Kids who are read to are more likely to enjoy reading themselves.

Talk together

Children learn about language by listening and joining in the conversation. Talk as you play and choose books that interest your children to talk about!

Write together

Encourage your children to write or draw. A first step to writing is to stimulate small motor muscle control with toys and art supplies.

Play together

Children learn language by interacting with others and also with their physical surroundings.
